Special procedural needs
All applicants must have the same opportunity to tell their story in the best conditions, so that the application properly can be assessed.
Therefore, an employee of the IO will complete a questionnaire with the applicant to ascertain whether the applicant has any special procedural needs or vulnerabilities. If Belgium is responsible for examining the application, this questionnaire and the administrative file are sent to the CGRS. The applicant's personal situation can therefore be taken into account during the procedure and, if necessary, special measures can be provided.
It is in the best interest of the applicant to answer the questions as fully and completely as possible and to provide all the elements that may reveal possible needs as quickly as possible.
The applicant can always provide the CGRS with additional information or elements at a later stage in the procedure. The applicant must send these elements in writing to the CGRS in a specific and detailed manner.
